ADDS 017

ADDS 017

Green All, everywhere this past few days. First, St. Patrick´s Day on Friday, then Architectural Digest Design Show on the weekend and today the first day of Spring! This year it all came together, which makes sense, since the big subject at the fair was All Green Everywhere.

Pantone -The authority in color, as they call themselves- chose Greenery as 2017 color "A refreshing and revitalizing shade, (...) symbolic of new beginnings. (...) a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew." This is it people, ADDS welcomed spring and it meant it. This year live plants dominated in both product and interiors and I couldn't be more happy about it.

Even though vegetation was the main character, there were lots of chaos and collages. Probably those who were overcome by the change that this year has brought. Non the less, the dichotomy of calmness in glass, watercolor and vegetation enjoyed the spotlight this year. Keep scrolling to take a look at the most satisfying greenery designs of this year's Made show and Diffa Dining by Design.

A few other dining settings and items that caught my eye were the upcycling design by Parson´s students, the re:action dining table by Perkins+Will and the minimalism of Humanscale Design Studio and Todd Brancher on the greenhouse.

Parson's students constructed their dining room with found materials from the five boroughs of NYC unified with white searching for an analogy with the New Yorkers affected by HIV/AIDS.
